Novault is built on the principle that you should control your data. We minimize data collection, don't store personal information, and never sell user data. When you use Novault, we collect minimal information necessary to operate the service.

2. What We Don't Collect

• Personal identification documents
• Phone number or home address
• Banking or payment information

Novault is wallet-based. You interact with the Platform using only your blockchain address.

3. What We Collect (Minimally)

Wallet Address & Transactions: When you connect your wallet, we see your public blockchain address and transaction history (already public on-chain). We don't store this data for long-term tracking.

Analytics: We collect non-identifying usage data to improve the Platform:

• Page views and interaction patterns (no personal linking)
• Browser and device type
• General geographic region (country-level, not specific location)
• Error logs to improve reliability

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal cookies for:

• Session persistence: Keeping you logged into the Platform
• Preferences: Your display settings (dark mode, language, etc.)

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; however, some Platform features may not work without them.

5. Third-Party Services

The Platform uses third-party services for infrastructure:

• RPC Providers: To query blockchain data. These providers may collect IP address logs (standard practice).
• Wallet Providers: MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc. These manage your private keys, not us. Refer to their privacy policies.
• Analytics: We use privacy-respecting analytics tools (no user fingerprinting).

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain minimal data for as short a period as possible:

• Session data: Deleted when you disconnect
• Analytics: Aggregated and anonymized; raw logs deleted after 30 days
• Error logs: Retained for 7 days for debugging, then deleted

7. No Data Selling

We never sell, rent, or share user data with advertisers or third parties. Your data is not a product. Period.

8. Blockchain Data

Anything you do on-chain is public and permanent. Your wallet address, transactions, and token holdings are visible to anyone on the blockchain. This is not controlled by Novault—it's inherent to blockchain technology.

9. Security

We implement standard security practices to protect our systems:

• HTTPS encryption for all traffic
• Regular security audits
• Secure API authentication

However, we do not store sensitive data (private keys, passwords). You manage your wallet security directly.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request what data we hold about you (minimal)
• Deletion: Request we delete analytics associated with your wallet
• Opt-out: Disable analytics (though core Platform functionality may require basic system logs)

11. GDPR / Privacy Regulations

For EU/GDPR Users: Since we collect minimal personal data, GDPR applies in limited scope. We don't use cookies for tracking or profiling. If you request deletion, we will remove analytics linked to your identifier.

For CCPA Users (California): You have the right to know what personal information we collect and to delete it. We don't sell personal information.

12. Children

The Platform is not intended for users under 18. If you are under 18, do not use Novault. If we become aware of minors using the Platform, we will take steps to restrict access.

13. International Use

The Platform may be accessible globally, but data handling may be subject to different regulations. If you use Novault from a jurisdiction with strict data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD), those laws apply to your data.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy periodically. Material changes will be announced on our website. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updates.
